Common questions

Where are my journal entries stored?

On your device, and nowhere else. Moodpage has no account system and no server. Your entries are never uploaded, and I cannot see them. This also means they are not backed up anywhere online — if you delete the app, your entries are deleted with it.

How do I restore my subscription on a new phone?

Open Moodpage, go to Settings, and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you originally subscribed with.

Note that restoring your subscription does not restore your journal entries — entries live only on the device they were written on.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by Moodpage. Go to Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions on your iPhone, select Moodpage, and tap Cancel.

How does the app write the reflections?

Entirely on your phone. Moodpage uses Apple's built-in text analysis to look at the tone of what you wrote and how your recent moods have trended, then picks a matching line from a set of phrases built into the app.

There is no AI service involved and nothing is sent anywhere. The app works completely offline — you can turn on airplane mode and it behaves the same.

My streak widget isn't updating

The widget refreshes when you save an entry and again after midnight. If it looks stuck, remove the widget and add it back: long-press the home screen, tap +, search for Moodpage, and add it again.

What does Premium include?

Writing entries, mood tags, reflections, the calendar, streaks, and the widgets are all free.

How do I delete my data?

Delete individual entries from inside the app by opening a day and choosing Delete. To remove everything, delete the app from your iPhone — that erases all entries permanently.
